Areas of Application

InoZet is mainly used for clamping, deformation sensitive parts, out-of-round parts and parts that are deformed after thermal treatment

Standard InoZet pendulum bridges are available for both power and manual chucks of all makes in sizes from 250 to 3000 mm.

The flexibility of the clamping system means that InoZet can be used for clamping blanks and machined parts, by external and also internal clamping.

How it works

The InoZet pendulum bridge is fitted to the basic jaws of the existing power or manual chuck. The pendulum mechanism gives the bridge a compensating effect.

The pendulum bridges with the continuous central gearing can be fitted with standard clamping jaws.

State of the Art

At present, pendulum jaws are used for 6-point clamping on three-jaw chucks. However, these pendulum bridges come with essential drawbacks.

Soiling of the pendulum mechanism (pendulum bolts) is just one of the problems, as it cancels out the pendulum effect so that compensatory clamping is no longer warranted.

Another problem is that the geometric shape of the pendulum jaws means that they only cover a small clamping range. And so several sets of pendulum jaws are needed to cover the full clamping range.

As an alternative to 3-jaw chucks with pendulum jaws, costly 6-jaw chucks are used. The use of 6-jaw chucks is only appropriate if this results in compensatory clamping.
